This morning I had great pleasure in attending the netball seasons Open Day for the Hinterland District Netball Association.  It was terrific to see so many kids and their parents there supporting our budding netball stars of the future.  I was lucky enough to present the trophy to the winning team for the best march which was won by Runaway Bay.  I also had the opportunity of having morning tea witht Marg Lambkin, the President of HDNA and her Committee along with Cameron O'Hara, the CEO of Netball Queensland.

The Hinterland District Netball Association was founded in 1995 and is located at Firth Park, Somerset Drive, Mudgeeraba in the Hinterland of the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. They are currently Queensland's fourth largest association and run junior and senior weekend and weekday competitions for teams based in and around the Gold Coast hinterland district. HDNA teams and competitions suit all playing ages and abilities.

I was also thrilled to meet young Lauri Johnson from Year 3 at Hillcrest Christian College and her mum who recently won the BJP National Junior Physical Culture competition in Sydney.  As the Champion she gets the honour of recording the syllabus for the 2010 DVD for 5-8 year old routines and will be flying to Sydney to record the DVD.
